Travel & Dine

The Travel & Dine project aims to develop guests’ experience of their meal. This is one of the elements in making the Kvarken region even more attractive to tourists. The aim is that the guest’s experience of their meal will satisfy very high demands. By focusing on developing the meal, demand for the region’s tourist products will increase And thereby also the effects of tourism in Kvarken.

For the guest, the meal is not merely a way of satisfying their hunger. Good food, environment, table setting, raw ingredients, preparation, service, hosting, product knowledge, story-telling etc come together to create the total experience the guest takes away, tells other people about, and wants to come back to.

Travel & Dine develops the elements that affect guests’ experience of their meal by means of activities that can be grouped under the following headings:

  • Service - hosting
  • The world around
  • Food
  • Market

We shall be working together with 45 companies on both sides of Kvarken.

The project will also strengthen the content of the region’s quality dining brand – Gastro Botnia.
